No.

We can't just get along.

Sometimes it is soo obvious to me- how messed up this world is. We have all these theories on paper that should technically work. Communism. It's not so bad. I mean. The general idea. Everyone works and shares the fruit of everyone's labor. That's not inherently evil. Doesn't matter. It won't work.

Look at all of the social problems in just our country. There are no easy answer, and I would say there are no answers to be had in any system we could implement.

The best we can do it maintain a civility. Even this takes exhausting effort.

Humans don't just get along. We bicker. We argue. We tire. We hate. We hurt. We kill.

There is nothing right about this, and everyone feels it in their hearts, or perhaps I am too naive.

I can't look at this world. I can't watch movies, listen to music, watch tv (Thanks Subtle series) without seeing the systemic grip of sin all over it.

I see a world that is entirely corrupt. I feel a flesh that is entirely corrupt.

If this world is so natural...if it's just a random cosmic event then why, oh why, is it so prone to evil?

Evil is a point of view? No, no- everyone knows what evil is. (See: Mere Christianity) Everyone knows.

This world is a cesspool, and we are corrupt...

But not without options.

Muslims, Christians, and the Church- brief thoughts

It's true. We see the headlines. The latest was a woman who strapped a bomb around her chest and detonated it at a bomb check tent in the middle of a Muslim pilgrimage.

Wow.

It doesn't take a person of faith to realize that is messed up. She murdered 46 people with her suicie and wounded I think around 104.

I don't understand this. This is the extreme of a religion that is sweeping the world. It's spreading so fast...but it's so messed up.

I'm intelligent enough to know that this isn't primariy what the religion teaches, but it's not far off. I'm sorry. It's just not.

The church has made every mistake in the book. We're not without blemish, but it's hard to read the teachings of Christ or even the whole Bible- IN CONTEXT- and get a feeling that God is asking us to make war on each other.

Over and over Jesus is saying- "Hey dudes, love each other. It's important." My words.

While the church has done so much wrong- how is it still around if Christ was not legit? He told Peter He would build the church upon the rock and that the gates of hell would not prevail against it...and Hell hasn't.

I dunno. Just something I have been thinking about.
