Stephanie and I are currently in San Antonio. It's the first trip we have taken since the Honeymoon. We're having a blast, and we're due home tomorrow.
There is something that I have noticed on vacations and even at home.
We eat like Kings. Better, actually.
We ate in Gruene, Texas @ Adobe Verde. It was delicious.
After we were both stuffed and we sat there waiting on the check a familiar feeling came over me- gratitude.
I don't take what we have for granted. We can't. Ever.
With so many people starving in the world there is no good answer to "why do I get the best food in the world?" What am I supposed to say?
I say- "Thank you, my Lord. Thank you for your grace and blessing in provision. It is only because you are good that I am able to eat today."
I know that this world isn't what it's supposed to be. I know that the fallen nature is to blame, and we are to blame for the fallen nature.
Everyone else aside- I get to eat and eat well. Why? I don't know why me.
All I can say is- thank you, Father.
I pray we all remember to be thankful for food in our stomachs.
